Sustainable by design
Our production facility is designed with sustainability at its core, focusing on creating microalgae-based products with minimal carbon, water, and land use impacts. To quantify our environmental performance, we conducted a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for our AlgaPrime™ DHA portfolio. The results showed that Omega-3s from AlgaPrime™ DHA have a lower carbon footprint compared to traditional fish oil sources. Our LCA is ISO 14040/44-compliant, peer-reviewed, and accepted for scientific publication in Algal Research on September 15, 2021.
